Students Serving Christ

God is moving in the hearts of our young people across the country....

Students Serving Christ

Every pastor and church leader knows how difficult it is to capture the attention of college aged young adults.  With much prayer and intentionality, a ministry with students is growing in Florida.
Laura, a senior in creative writing at the University of Florida is seriously considering fulltime ministry serving students when she graduates.  She was a team leader at a discipleship training program and really grew in her heart for discipling others.  Laura is involved with a financial study from Crown Financial Ministries while at the same time is looking forward to the challenge of finishing college.
The Florida Navigators, who are discliping these students, will tell you that this exciting ministry takes time, involvement and lots of life on life. Jenny, Ritch and Joah are others who are all growing in Christ.  Jenny is a junior psych major, and Ritch is trusting God to get into med school.  These young people have all received discipleship training at a student training program this past summer where God really grew them in their character and ministry skills.

Discipling Future Naval Officers: USNA Navigators Fall Retreat

Every October, the Navigators African American Naval ministry has a retreat.  This year DC businessman Dale Jones and his wife Yolanda gave a great series of talks.  The Jones' recently moved to DC from Atlanta and have served the Naval ministry on a number of occasions.  The midshipmen were excited over the impact of this godly couple. - Gardea Christian (09) USNA, USMC shared this:
"The retreat truly changed my life. It helped me rededicate my life to God. I am now all about having Christ in every aspect of my life. I am tired of living with Christ at times, and other times living in the world. This retreat helped to refocus my mind and spirit. I am glad I went on this retreat and experienced what I did. This retreat has helped me discard the old, embrace the new and become new creation living in Christ Jesus."
